We are collectors, private art dealers and brokers of California paintings.

We are buying paintings, pastels and watercolors painted in California from 1850 to approximately the World War II era. Over 20,000 artists painted in the state during that period, ranging from the famous to the obscure and encomposes several different styles expressed in California, such as Tonalism, Impressionism, Modernism, Fauvism, Hudson River, Realism, Victorian Florals, etc.

We evaluate artwork to determine a Fair Market Value, or, what a private party might sell to another private party, and/or prices realized at auctions..

We research recent markets to determine the current value of the painting.

We base our offer to purchase on this fair market value

We arrange for all packing and shipping at our cost, fully insured.

We cannot evaluate paintings without photos, exact dimensions, and the medium (oil on canvas or board, watercolor on paper or paperboard, pastel on paper, etc.

We will respond with a courteous, cheerful and realistic evaluation.



In addition, we can arrange to place the more expensive paintings in several major auction houses at no fee to you. Usually, this can be done with paintings worth over $10,000.

We can place paintings on consignment as well, offering them to our extensive client list.
